Resort Bands & parking passes

What a Resort Band is, and why you need one.

Beachwalk's pool, splash pad, Lake Kai beach, courts and activity center are for owners and registered guests. From mid-May through September everyone four and older wears a Resort Band (about $15 per person for the stay) and each car needs a parking pass (about $5). Beachwalk Vacation Rentals arranges both with your booking; the current prices and where to pick them up are in your arrival email.

Prices are the resort's and change by season. Outside band season the pool and Lake Kai are closed, but the parks, courts and the boardwalk to the beach are open all year.

Getting to the beach

Sheridan Beach, by cart and boardwalk.

Sheridan Beach is the public Lake Michigan beach right outside the resort. Take the golf cart from 121 Thomas Blvd to the Lake Shore Drive gate (about five minutes), park it there, and follow the boardwalk over the dune to the sand at Stop 7. Carts stay inside the resort, so the last stretch is on foot: bring the wagon for chairs and the cooler.

Check the beach flag before swimming. Lake Michigan has real rip currents, and the water stays cold into June.
